Human Resources / Employee & Labour Relations

We are looking for an Employee & Labor Relations Senior Manager (ER/LR) to lead the Employee and Labour Relations agenda in the Netherlands, driving compliance, risk mitigation, and effective employee representation. You will support business continuity through expert guidance on Dutch labour law, Works Councils, and complex ER cases, while ensuring strong governance and stakeholder alignment.

The role

As our ER/LR Senior Manager – Netherlands, you play a critical role in shaping Employee and Labour Relations across the Netherlands, ensuring compliance with Dutch labour law and delivering pragmatic solutions that support business continuity and growth.

You will be reporting to Country Senior HR Director – Netherlands, and you will manage:

Employee & Labour Relations Strategy

  • Lead and shape the end-to-end ER/LR agenda for the Netherlands in alignment with Coty’s global HR strategy
  • Act as subject matter expert on Dutch labour law, collective labour agreements, and employee relations frameworks
  • Provide expert guidance on restructurings, reorganisations, dismissals, and complex employee matters
  • Proactively identify and mitigate ER/LR risks across the organisation
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners and Legal to deliver compliant and consistent outcomes

European Works Council & Works Councils

  • Prepare, coordinate, and support EWC information and consultation processes
  • Manage relationships with local Works Councils and employee representatives in the Netherlands
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and legally compliant submissions and documentation
  • Act as the primary country contact for EWC-related matters

Compliance, Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure ER/LR submissions, documentation, and processes are legally compliant and audit-ready
  • Drive consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and labour agreements
  • Support senior leaders with sensitive and high-risk ER/LR matters
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, unions, and advisors as required
  • Build ER/LR capability within the HR community and leadership teams

  • Extensive experience in Employee & Labour Relations in the Netherlands
  • Deep expertise in Dutch labour law and Works Council legislation
  • Proven experience managing European Works Councils and related processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities
  • Experience supporting restructurings and organisational change
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive employee cases
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch strongly preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills across HR, Legal, and business leadership
