At The Social Hub, the Membership Growth Manager grows the community with intention, identifying the right people, communicating the vision, and making joining feel like the obvious next step. The role combines commercial instinct with community awareness.

People come through word-of-mouth, events, and referrals as warm leads with real interest. The focus is on converting that interest, managing the full journey from first enquiry to signed contract, and ensuring new members stay engaged and active within the community.

A key part of the role is maintaining a healthy community mix. The community thrives when it includes different industries, backgrounds, and interests under one roof. This role stays close to how the community evolves and occasionally steers it to ensure new members add to what is already there.

The Social Hub offers an environment where people can work, stay, learn, and play. As an employer, it combines hospitality with student accommodation, long- and short-stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bars, eat and drink spaces, as well as community and coworking spaces. The company operates across The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and the UK, with further openings planned.

What You'll Do

Sales

  • Build and execute a commercial plan to drive membership sales and achieve targets
  • Manage the full lead-to-member journey across lifestyle memberships, dedicated desks, and private offices
  • Run tours that showcase the space and community effectively
  • Drive renewals proactively and develop retention plans with the Member Relations Manager
  • Monitor the community mix and help maintain a healthy balance
  • Lead monthly forecasting and reporting on conversion, churn, revenue per member, and pipeline health
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns to attract the right new members

Relationship & Business Development

  • Develop referrals as a growth engine by working closely with the Member Relations Manager, Membership Hosts, and programming team
  • Onboard committee members and track referral conversions
  • Build long-term relationships with B2B and coworking members, and collaborate with the Regional Commercial Manager on partnership opportunities
  • Handle membership administration including bookings, contracts, billing, and invoices
  • Share insights from tours and member conversations with product, marketing, and hub teams

What You'll Have

  • 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record, preferably in membership clubs, coworking, or hospitality
  • A focus on creating a sense of belonging, not just selling products
  • An understanding of community dynamics and how a diverse mix of people brings a space to life
  • Comfort making occasional judgement calls about member balance and explaining the reasoning clearly
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent follow-through
  • A precise, data-driven approach, comfortable with both pipeline reporting and face-to-face conversations
  • A collaborative working style across teams
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus, and other languages are welcome
