About the role

Representing the consumer across the coffee portfolio, you support the development of competitive, relevant, and differentiated product propositions across coffee categories. Working closely with the Head of Coffee and Product Directors, you help ensure that portfolio choices, innovation direction, and value propositions are grounded in strong consumer, market, and competitor understanding.

In this role, you bring an integrated cross-category view across coffee, identifying portfolio gaps, price partition opportunities, and emerging consumer needs. You support with structured insights and recommendations that strengthen portfolio direction, product competitiveness, and strategic decision-making across the category.

The impact you’ll make:

Key responsibilities

  • Support development of the global coffee category vision and mid-term value creation plan
  • Maintain an integrated portfolio view and identify gaps across price partitions and consumer need spaces
  • Propose and shape portfolio adjustments based on market, competitor, and performance insights
  • Analyse market dynamics, price partitions, and portfolio coverage across coffee categories
  • Lead competitor benchmarking across product propositions, range strategies, launches, and commercial moves
  • Analyse consumer research and usage & attitude studies across categories
  • Identify emerging needs and opportunity spaces beyond current category boundaries
  • Translate insights into inputs for portfolio direction, innovation focus, and value proposition development
  • Build and maintain key category trackers across portfolio, competition, pricing, and innovation
  • Assess performance of key launches and portfolio evolution to inform portfolio choices

KPIs

  • On-time Delivery: Percentage of projects, analyses, inputs completed on schedule
  • Price partition coverage and gaps identified across need spaces with follow-up actions
  • Category trackers updated monthly with full coverage (portfolio, pricing, competition)
  • Stakeholder Feedback: Satisfaction with project management and Marketing
  • Team Efficiency: Effective resource use and process adherence

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, category management, or related roles
  • Strong experience in product competitiveness, portfolio management, pricing structures, and competitor analysis
  • Ability to translate consumer and market insights into clear product and portfolio recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicator, capable of influencing and collaborating across cross-functional teams
  • Experience working across multiple product lines or categories
