To accelerate our growth, we are seeking an (experienced) Business Developer in Life Sciences & Health who understands what it takes to sell high-quality engineering and development projects. Someone who isn’t looking for one-off successes, but for sustainable, recurring commercial results.
As a business developer, you create sustainable commercial value by identifying, shaping and securing complex development projects. This is explicitly not a product sales role. You are comfortable navigating lengthy decision-making processes involving multiple stakeholders, technical uncertainties and high demands on trust and credibility. You will own the entire commercial process: from initial contact and technical exploration to proposal development, negotiations, contracting and the further development of long-term client relationships.
Selling projects, not products
You will translate client challenges into substantial engineering and development programmes with clear business value and long-term potential.
Building a strong and healthy pipeline
You proactively target start-ups, scale-ups and established players within MedTech, Biotech, IVD and related sectors that are capable of generating significant annual project volumes.
Connecting decision-makers
You build lasting relationships with CEOs, CTOs, clinicians, researchers and medical institutions, and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with ease.
Managing opportunities end-to-end
You manage opportunities from discovery and qualification through to solution positioning, proposal creation, negotiation and closing, in close collaboration with DEMCON’s engineering and project management teams.
Translating complexity into clarity
You accurately identify client needs and translate them into clear project definitions and compelling value propositions that integrate technology, regulations, planning, and costs.
Representing DEMCON externally
You are a visible and credible representative of DEMCON within the Life Sciences & Health ecosystem (Benelux, DACH, Nordics, and beyond), with clients, at trade shows, conferences, and in relevant networks.
You are a commercial professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and understand that sustained success in this role requires structure, perseverance and a proven track record.
