Bulk Engineer
Purpose
The Bulk Engineer is responsible for the data management, analysis and reporting of project materials.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and expedite the release of engineering data as per project schedule.
- Verify data from Engineering and take action to amend it when required.
- Process Supply Chain and Logistics data into MRP systems (Nadia/ERM).
- Create multisystem data analysis and reports.
- Issue data for procurement to the yards.
- Issue weekly Material Power BI reports and Workfront analysis.
- Provide project support.
- Forecast bulk quantities in consultation with engineering.
- Monitor changes in quantities resulting from the evolution of the design.
Education
- Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a cost engineering study.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a material control, cost engineer, project planning, procurement, or data analysis position.
- Experience in an EPC project and experience in data handling and databases is a plus.
- Excellent MS Excel knowledge.
- MS Access, SQL, Visual Basic, and Power BI are a plus.
- English is mandatory.

SBM Offshore provides floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry, over the full product life-cycle. The Company is market leading in leased floating production systems with multiple units currently in operation and has unrivalled operational experience in this field. The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.
Group companies employ approximately 7,000 people worldwide. Full time company employees totaling 4,900 are spread over five regional centers, eleven operational shore bases and the offshore fleet of vessels. A further 2,100 are working for the joint ventures with several construction yards.
