This role is with the People Analytics & AI team and is about reimagining how HR gets done, from the ground up. That means rethinking HR processes, but also shifting mindsets, building new capabilities, and helping organisations embrace a fundamentally different way of working.

Together with our clients, we redesign HR functions for a world where AI agents take the wheel. We don’t just advise; we build — turning process redesigns into working products that we implement end to end, from a technical and functional perspective.

And we walk the talk. AI is embedded in how we work, how we collaborate, and how we deliver.

This is not a traditional consulting role. Yes, you will need sharp consulting skills — structuring complex information, managing stakeholders, driving projects forward. But what sets this role apart is end-to-end involvement. You don’t hand off a recommendation and walk away, you stay in the work.

You are expected to be hands-on and proficient in AI: building prototypes through vibe coding and other cutting-edge techniques, showing clients today what the HR function of tomorrow looks like.

Your work as AI Transformation Consultant at #Highberg

• Vision — you help clients define an inspiring AI vision and the guiding principles to make it real, while building genuine buy-in across leadership.
• Ideate — together with stakeholders, you identify and prioritise the HR processes ripe for AI transformation — and assess the organisational readiness to actually make the shift.
• Validate — you develop AI-native process designs from a financial, process and technical perspective, and secure management approval to move into build and deploy.
• Build — you lead the iterative construction of AI-native processes that replace outdated ways of working, keeping end users close throughout.
• Deploy — you drive the technical and functional implementation of AI-native HR processes, enabling the teams who will work with them, and ensuring the return on investment is tangible and measurable.

What are we asking?

You have guided organisations through technical change — whether that’s implementing a new HR system, redesigning a process, or landing an AI pilot — and you know that adoption is harder than design.

You can build a business case, run a workshop, and write a board-ready slide deck in the same week — and you’ve done exactly that on at least a few engagements.

You have worked in consultancy, or internal transformation teams, and you understand the rhythm of client work: scoping, delivering, and knowing when to push back.

Who are you?

• You have guided organisations through change, whether that’s implementing a new HR system, redesigning a process, or landing an AI pilot.
• You can build a business case, run a workshop, and write a board-ready slide deck in the same week — and you’ve done exactly that on at least a few engagements.
• You understand the rhythm of client work: scoping, delivering, and knowing when to push back.
• Driven by curiosity, you have built real proficiency in prompt engineering, agent configuration, and solution building through spec and vibe coding — not because you had to, but because you couldn’t help yourself.
• You have an instinct for human-centred design and can switch fluently between a conversation with a non-technical HR director and a deep-dive with an AI engineer.
• You thrive in ambiguity. Building something new from scratch in a complex organisation energises rather than unsettles you.
• You bring 4–6 years of experience with HR processes and data.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• You are based within the Utrecht – Leiden – Alkmaar – Almere corridor.
• You are all-in. This is a full-time role for someone who does their best work when fully immersed.

• Competitive base salary: €4,300–€6,000 /month and profit-sharing
• 10.8% flex budget (including 8% holiday allowance)
