Summary

As an ION Exchange Membrane Expert, you will drive the development and optimization of ion exchange and bipolar membranes at the core of our acid-base flow battery technology. Working closely with our Tech Development team and external partners, you will apply advanced characterization methods to improve performance and help scale our solutions from lab to real-world applications.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead R&D on ion exchange membranes for flow batteries
• Optimize membrane properties to maximize efficiency
• Develop bipolar membranes to enhance battery performance
• Utilize advanced characterization techniques (e.g., EIS, ion chromatography)
• Collaborate with scientists & engineers to optimize the membrane stack
• Collaborate with academic and industry partners

Function requirements

• PhD in Chemistry (membrane science focus) + 2+ years industry experience
• Expertise in ion transport phenomena & membrane characterization
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills
• English fluency (Dutch is a plus)
