Future Talent Program

We are excited to introduce the Future Talent Program, an opportunity for university students to develop their personal leadership style, gain practical insights, and build a meaningful peer network.

The program is designed to equip students with practical tools, confidence, and connections that can help shape their future paths. Drawing on McKinsey’s Centered Leadership framework and current research, participants will explore tools and perspectives to support their growth and long-term development.

The program is designed for bachelor’s students in the Netherlands (years 1–3) from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, across all academic disciplines, who are motivated to grow as leaders and interested in exploring consulting.

*This may encompass a variety of experiences, including but not limited to being the first generation in your family to attend university, having received a scholarship based on financial needs or demographics, or growing up in a low-income household. The Future Talent Program is just one of our many worldwide initiatives aimed at helping individuals get to know McKinsey better.

What to expect

The program will run from November to February, and includes four separate afternoon sessions all of which are hosted in-person in Amsterdam. Note that to join the program, you must be able to attend each event listed below.

• Session 1: November 12
• Session 2: December 10
• Session 3: January 14
• Session 4: February 11

All sessions will take place at the same time: 14.00-17.00H CET.

Through the Future Talent Program, you will:

Be part of a network

Your program peers and contacts at McKinsey will serve as a support system as you face personal and professional decisions.

Build leadership skills

You will meet exceptional business leaders and McKinsey colleagues who will host informal discussions on topics such as leadership and problem solving. You will also learn transferable skills such as how to communicate effectively in different scenarios.

Explore consulting career options

You will be coached and mentored by McKinsey colleagues from diverse backgrounds in order to help you make the most of future consulting career opportunities. You will have a mentor who will be on hand to provide advice throughout the program.
