What stands out most is the open culture, where everyone's ideas matter. Rico really empowers people to speak up, keeping things creative. I also appreciate the diversity of the role, from customer support to marketing and automation, as it allows you to grow quickly and learn independently.

Our goal in the water is simple: teach every level, from someone who's never touched a pool to a triathlete chasing seconds. The technique is built so you feel what's working and what isn't yourself, instead of just being told, which is what makes it click fast and brings the joy back into swimming, at any level. We don't want that to stop at two locations, or at just teaching customers ourselves. We want to train more people to teach the Swim Academy method, and put it in front of as many people as possible, on social media, in our content, wherever people are actually looking, so it's the method people end up knowing, not just the company behind it.

We've got one coworking and catching-up day together a week where we talk through what's going on, ask questions, bounce around ideas for what's next, catch up on whatever projects are in motion, and obviously also check in on life outside work too. Outside of that, if something important comes up, we just call or message, no need to wait for the next one.

The coaching itself happens on-site, at Special Sports and Club Sportive, and that's also where a lot of the content gets shot, right there with the coaches and swimmers in the pool.

Outside of those moments, the work is pretty independent and doesn't tie you to one spot. Our operations and growth coordinator is usually based at a co-working space on the Keizersgracht, right in the center of Amsterdam, and you're welcome to come work from there too whenever it suits, good desk, good energy, great spot to get things done in a nice environment.

Come as you are! It's low-hierarchy here: got an idea or an opinion, just say it, nobody's shutting you down, and you'll actually own whatever you bring to the table. There's not a lot of fixed structure either, few set meetings, mostly ongoing work and figuring things out as we go, so you get a lot of freedom, but we expect you to run with it. It's also got a real international feel, loads of international clients, mostly Dutch on the team but a few internationals mixed in too. Open-mindedness, high acceptance, and a diverse mindset are baked deep into the culture here.

It starts with a coffee chat or a Google Meet, whichever fits better with availability and preference, just a relaxed first talk to get to know each other, swap visions and ideas and see what working together could actually look like. If that clicks, you'll have a call or meeting with Rico, our owner, to go deeper: does the vision line up, what ideas do you bring, and how could we shape the internship together, not just hand you a fixed role and a task list. After that, we both decide if it feels like a great fit, and if it does, we sort out the logistics and get you started.

Flexibility is a given: work from home whenever it makes sense, or if you'd rather have a proper desk, join us at a co-working space one day a week perfectly located in the center of Amsterdam. On the days you're at the club shooting content, you've got full access to the facilities while you're there. On top of that, you'll get a discounted membership price at both clubs we work with, Special Sports and Club Sportive.

You'll be involved in many different aspects of the business. Together with our small and close-knit team, you'll contribute to customer relations, marketing, content creation, growth, strategy, and automation.

This broad range of responsibilities gives you the opportunity to learn quickly, take ownership, show initiative, and have a real impact from the very beginning. Rather than focusing on just one area, you'll gain hands-on experience across the entire business.

Your work will take place in a variety of locations, so no two days are ever the same. Depending on the week, our meetings take place in a working café, at one of the clubs, or in the co-working space.

A large part of your time will be spent at our locations in Amsterdam and Amstelveen, where you'll work alongside our coaches, create content, and experience the lessons first-hand.

You can also spend time at the co-working space on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, where you'll work on active projects together with a member of the team. In addition, you'll have the flexibility to work independently from home when appropriate, depending on the project and personal preferences.
