ING offers promising master graduates the chance to make the absolute most of their talent on a two-year traineeship within the bank: the International Talent Programme.

You can discover all the ins and outs of the banking world. Our traineeship is a two-year programme. It starts with three rotations, of which you can even do one abroad, if circumstances allow. After these three rotations you start in your permanent role.

The traineeship offers a lot of flexibility. You’ll start within your traineeship track. One of your three rotations can be done in a different track, to give you the opportunity to experience and make impact on our clients, products or processes from a different angle.

We also offer flexibility in our trainings. During your traineeship you'll attend two Global Trainee events, and you'll do three training courses to strenghten your professional skills. One of these is specific and mandatory for your track, the other two training courses are to be choosen by you.


An internship at ING is the ideal opportunity to meet a wide variety of people, start to build up your own network, and learn about many different aspects of business.

Every year, more than 500 students from secondary vocational/higher education (HBO and WO level) join ING on an internship, either working within one of the many departments or conducting research for their graduation project. While there are of course no guarantees, in practice many former ING interns subsequently move into a starter’s role at ING or into the ING Traineeship. Whatever happens, an internship at ING is the ideal opportunity to meet a wide variety of people, start to build up your own network, and learn about many different aspects of business – which all adds up to a great start for the rest of your career!
