Back in 2011, founders Wil and Wouter were faced with the culling of day-old chicks for the first time – an issue that has stayed with them ever since. Founded as a company in 2013, In Ovo was created with one goal in mind: to prevent the hatching of male chicks which would otherwise be killed.
Since then, we have spent a lot of time researching and developing Ella and other innovations that improve animal welfare and sustainability in the poultry sector. We use cutting-edge technology that can be seamlessly integrated into existing hatcheries. The hatcheries can concentrate on their chicks, while we focus on the solutions.
