New opportunity at The Social Hub in The Hague (NL).

Host/Hostess

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It…

As a Host/Hostess at The Social Hub, you're the first smiling face our guests see, and the one who sets the tone for everything that follows. You’re a natural connector, welcoming everyone with warmth, managing the guest flow with grace, and keeping things running smoothly from entrance to table. Whether it’s handling reservations, coordinating with the service team, or remembering a regular’s favourite spot, your role is all about making people feel seen and valued.

You'll work closely with a dynamic team in a buzzing hospitality environment, where every day brings new faces and new energy. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, love to meet people, and know how to keep cool under pressure, this is your moment to shine.

In Case You Don’t Know Who We Are

Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and the UK, with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet every guest with a warm, genuine welcome and manage the entrance area with confidence
  • Handle reservations across phone, email, and booking systems, including modifications and special requests
  • Coordinate guest seating with the FOH and kitchen team to ensure a smooth, timely flow
  • Monitor wait times and guest needs, offering thoughtful solutions when necessary
  • Keep the host stand, menus, and entrance area neat and welcoming at all times
  • Assist with service tasks like coat check, birthday setups, and light floor support during busy times
  • Be the voice and vibe of the venue, informing guests about menus, specials, and upcoming events
  • Share guest feedback and preferences with the team during briefings to enhance the experience

What You’ll Have

  • At least 6 months experience in a guest-facing hospitality role, ideally in a restaurant or hotel
  • Confidence using digital booking systems and managing guest queues
  • A warm, polished presence that represents the tone and style of the venue
  • Clear communication skills in person, on the phone, and via email
  • Ability to stay calm and collected during peak hours and high-volume moments
  • Team-first attitude, willing to jump in and support wherever needed
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to work at a dynamic, multi-national company. Not just another hotel - we’re a game changing innovator, challenging every convention and defining the future
  • The opportunity to work for a Certified B Corp® company that balances profit with positive impact, collaborating with organizations like Movement on the Ground and the TSH Talent Foundation to create meaningful change
  • The chance to learn and grow in your role with the potential for future growth
  • Awesome discounts in all our properties in Europe and not just for you, but also for your friends and family!
  • A wonderful workplace to call home, full of events, fun colleagues and all the other amazing salary/benefits stuff

The Social Hub is much more than a hotel. In our boundary-blurring spaces we bring together a new generation of bold change-makers to connect, learn, stay, work, and play. Creating memorable experiences for our community of hotel guests, students, creatives, enterprising minds and anyone in between.
