Team Leader Production

This is how you make an Impact

As a Team Leader, your daily goal is to work with your team to achieve the production targets. You start the day with a “day start” meeting in which you and your team discuss safety, quality, logistics, planning, and budget (SQLTC). After that, you get to work, and as the team leader you ensure that your team can meet the intended objectives. In this role, you are a true coach and leader for your people. You are present on the shop floor and create a pleasant and safe working environment for yourself and your multicultural team.

You listen, guide, support, and solve issues so your team can work effectively and stay engaged. During shift changes, you make sure your team hands over the work properly. You conduct selection, performance, and appraisal interviews. You ensure that new colleagues receive a proper onboarding and that all team members can continue to develop themselves. In doing so, you consider the needs of the individuals, the team, and the organization. You are responsible for executing the department’s annual plan and report to the unit manager.

This is what we offer you

You will be working in an international organization that offers plenty of room for your own development. Personal connection is very important to us; we focus not only on hard skills but certainly also on soft skills. This is a versatile leadership role with direct impact on daily operations. You will work in an environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are central. You will collaborate closely with fellow Team Leaders, Engineering, Logistics, HR, and the Unit Manager. There is ample opportunity to further develop your leadership capabilities. You will work in shifts, which also brings additional responsibility outside regular office hours.

You can also count on:

  • A competitive salary aligned with your knowledge and experience, plus shift allowances according to the collective labor agreement.
  • 27 vacation days, plus 13 additional ADV days.
  • Pension contributions and travel expense reimbursement.
  • The work takes place in two shifts.

This is what you bring to the Team

  • Demonstrable bachelor‑level working and thinking ability.
  • Experience in leading teams, preferably in a production environment.
  • Green Belt certification is an advantage but not required.
  • A proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • The ability to identify bottlenecks, make decisions, and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills and the talent to guide people through change.
  • A structured and analytical way of working.
  • Coaching skills and the drive to help employees grow.
  • A strong sense of responsibility for achieving KPIs and complying with procedures.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Your daily responsibilities include

Operational Management

  • Achieving planned production within the agreed parameters.
  • Monitoring progress, quality, and adherence to work agreements.
  • Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the production process or in deliveries.
  • Preparing workstations, tools, and supporting the introduction of new processes.
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient use of tools, PPE, materials, and equipment.
  • Enforcing all applicable procedures and standards (ESD, 5S, IPC, QMS, health & safety, environment).
  • Participating in the Multi‑disciplinary Improvement Team (MIT) and escalating issues in a timely manner when needed.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Assigning employees to the right tasks and setting priorities.
  • Addressing behavior and encouraging customer‑focused work.
  • Conducting job interviews and selecting new employees.
  • Training, guiding, and onboarding new colleagues.
  • Monitoring competencies and coordinating further development.
  • Organizing the inflow, internal mobility, and outflow of temporary workers.
  • Creating development and improvement plans together with the Unit Manager.
  • Coaching the team in continuous improvement and following up on improvement proposals.
  • Independently conducting performance and appraisal reviews.
  • Leading team meetings and ensuring clear communication.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintaining team administration (leave, sickness, overtime).
  • Executing departmental registrations.
  • Analyzing improvement data and contributing to optimization.
  • Reporting team results and output to the Unit Manager.
