We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer who is strong in discovery, behavior, and problem solving. You’ll join a small in-house UX team that owns the end-to-end experience across Basic-Fit. We’re working with a design system, so this role is less about crafting pixels from scratch and more about understanding real user problems and shaping effective solutions.

This Is What Your Role Looks Like

Your mission: Create a frictionless user experience for our members, offering them intuitive self-service journeys. You’ll identify high-friction moments across the member journey, dive deep into user behavior—identifying where, why and how people struggle—and turn those insights into measurable improvements.

You’ll work closely with product owners, developers, customer service, and data and business analysts to connect qualitative insights with hard signals like drop-offs, complaints, and support volume. From there, you’ll define problems sharply, validate assumptions early, ship pragmatic solutions using our design system, and communicate process and results with relevant stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process with a strong focus on the end-user, aiming for a frictionless user experience.
  • Initiate discovery: user research, journey mapping, usability testing, and behavioral analysis.
  • Identify and prioritize friction points using both qualitative insight and quantitative data.
  • Translate messy problem spaces into clear problem statements and opportunity areas.
  • Design pragmatic solutions using the existing design system and patterns.
  • Create new design system components and maintain existing components.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, development, data, and customer support.
  • Validate solutions early and often, through experiments and testing.
  • Measure impact with clear outcomes (e.g. task success, reduced drop-offs, fewer support cases).
  • Contribute insights back into the broader UX team to raise overall UX maturity.

Who Are You?

  • 3–6 years of UX experience in a product environment (in-house preferred over agency-only).
  • Strong discovery skills: research, synthesis, and problem framing.
  • Comfortable working with behavioral data and turning signals into insights.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex journeys and reduce user friction.
  • Pragmatic designer: outcome-driven, not attached to visual flourish.
  • Experience measuring UX impact with experiments or A/B testing.
  • Experience with creating and/or working with a design system.
  • Strong stakeholder skills; able to align business and engineering around user problems.
  • Autonomous and structured, but collaborative by default.
  • Clear communicator who can explain decisions in plain language.
  • Fluent in English; comfortable in an international environment.
  • Nice to haves: Experience working closely with customer support or service teams.

What We Offer You

  • Learning & Development: Unlimited access to GoodHabitz and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Career Growth: Plenty of opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • Work Culture: An informal, international, and down-to-earth environment. We value working together, so we work 4 days in the office, 1 day from home.
  • Innovation: Your ideas contribute to strategic projects.
  • Perks & Benefits: Travel allowance, bike plan, health insurance discounts, remote work allowance, and a pension plan (52% contribution by Basic-Fit).
  • Fitness: Access to our gym at HQ.
