As Senior Global Buyer Fruit it is your mission to source fruits for the European Business Units. You will be part of the Fruit Upstream team which consists of 4 buyers and besides you are part of the Global Category team where you will support and implement the global Fruit Upstream sourcing strategy.

This position will be located in The Netherlands and will report to the Global Category Sourcing Manager Fruit Upstream.

The job holder will split her/his time between the following missions:

• Anticipate Danone business needs on fruits, in close collaboration with regions and teams, and support the definition and deployment of the fruit strategy.
• Develop and manage the fruit supplier base and sourcing regions to secure competitiveness, resilience, quality, and alignment with Danone standards and ambitions.
• Lead the implementation of sustainability and transparency initiatives on fruits in the region, in line with Danone Impact Journey.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration with R&I, Marketing, Quality, and project teams to enable grow and innovations.
• Support the sustainability and transparency fruit projects in the region.
• Ensure that we have the right fruit sourcing in our fruit preparation recipes.

About you

• Strong procurement and category management experience in food ingredients sourcing, gained within large FMCG environments (+5 years experience).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, or a related field.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong asset.
• Solid expertise in category management, with a proven ability to structure, manage, and optimize categories.
• Curiosity, Entrepreneurship and autonomy.
• Willingness to travel is a must.
