When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors.

In this role as Customer Care Specialist - Sea Logistics Import (Rotterdam), you are the vital link between our customers and internal departments. You’ll play a key role in managing commercial activities, customer communication, daily planning, and administrative processes. You’ll be responsible for your own customer portfolio and act as their primary point of contact.

How you create impact

  • Manage daily customer interactions.
  • Act as the vocal point for your customers and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal teams to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate documentation processes and liaise with the Operational Care Centre for timely and accurate follow-up.
  • Provide proactive advice and support with a solution-oriented and service-minded approach.
  • Monitor customer KPIs and internal data, contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate administrative handling and reporting setup.

What we would like you to bring

  • Relevant work experience in sea freight (import) and/or customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • Independent and detail-oriented, yet a true team player.
  • A customer-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
