We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our payments sales team in Europe. You will be responsible for selling Lightspeed Payments to our existing customer base. Lightspeed Payments is our in-house payments solution that integrates seamlessly with the Lightspeed POS (Point of Sale) system they already use.

Since 2019, we’ve continued to invest in Lightspeed Payments, adding valuable features to our POS and payments solution. After seeing strong results with new customers, we’re now expanding payments to our existing merchants.

This position will report to the Head of Global GTM and be part of our Global Payments GTM team.

***Please note that this role is based in either Amsterdam, Ghent OR Berlin***

What you’ll be doing

  • Generate opportunities within our client base by leveraging warm introductions from Account Managers, SDR-sourced introductions, phone and email based outreach, and follow up on company-led campaigns.
  • Effectively lead prospects through a defined sales process from qualification to signing.
  • Lead presentations and pricing negotiations.
  • Partner with the onboarding team to lead merchants from application to launch.
  • Act as a payments subject matter expert for other units, offering guidance and coaching.
  • Share product-related feedback with our product teams and collaborate on new product launches.
  • Track activities in Salesforce.com.
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as defined by management.

What you need to bring

  • 2+ years of payments experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a closing role in a solution-sales / technology-related environment.
  • History of developing your own opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to have succeeded in a revenue target-based environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Fluent in either English and German or English, Dutch and French.
  • Passion for people and technology.
