Job Summary

We are looking for an EMEA Senior Financial Analyst to join Palo Alto Networks’ growing finance organization.

Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is continuing building a world class finance organization and is looking for a top notch Senior FP&A Analyst that is highly talented and result driven to join the team.

The position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high growth environment and strong business knowledge and business acumen in the area of Sales.

This person will be responsible for providing critical financial and analytical decision support to the EMEA Renewals and Sales organizations. You will focus on the financial health of the Renewals and Sales business — top-line modelling and planning, validating the financial integrity of forecasts and optimizing headcount and other investments to deliver measurable financial returns. You will also act as a strategic business partner to EMEA VP Renewals, ensuring that our recurring revenue growth is both predictable and profitable.

Your Impact

  • Act as a strategic advisor to Renewal Leaders by translating complex data into actionable and insightful recommendations; specifically driving the “North Star” metrics of retention economics (renewal rate health), analyzing churn drivers to develop retention frameworks, quantifying top line price/contract value impact (predictable ARR growth), and streamlining performance reporting
  • Support Theater/Area top line and headcount budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities
  • Perform ad hoc and regular analyses of the Product Platform business to drive high corporate performance and support executive decision making
  • Provide sales leaders with insightful data and analytics to make sound business decisions
  • Apply strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to break down business problems and build solutions
  • Leverage advanced Generative AI skills to drive process improvements, automate complex financial workflows, and integrate AI into renewal predictability modeling to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Go To Market finance, Central Sales finance, Sales/Renewals Ops, Strategy) to continually improve metrics alignment, consistency, data integrity, and automation

Your Experience

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with a minimum of 2 years in a high-growth SaaS or subscription-based environment (direct experience with renewals/retention cycles is highly preferred)
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field; MBA or advanced certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is a plus
  • Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and maintain complex financial models
  • Strong business and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong relationship building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment
  • Experience with CRM, planning, and ERP systems such as Salesforce.com, Clari, Pigment, SAC, and SAP, as well as SQL programming
