As a Senior Business Controller, you are at the heart of Robeco’s decision‑making and performance management. Department

The Senior Business Controller reports to the Head of Corporate Planning and is part of a team of 8 people, of which 3 are (senior) business controllers. Corporate Planning is part of the wider Business Control & Finance department, which also includes the Corporate Accounting and regional Finance teams located in Rotterdam, Zurich, and Hong Kong.

The Corporate Planning team is the center for global management reporting (incl Asset and Sales reporting activities); with independent tracking and reporting on all corporate financial and quantitative KPIs. Corporate Planning is responsible for the financial part of strategy tracking which includes multiyear & multi dimension as well as more in depth financial management reporting toward the Robeco Executive Committee, the Supervisory Board and senior management.

Position & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high‑quality management information dashboards and KPI reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Develop data-driven analyses and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Lead integrated budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Partner with senior leaders across Sales & Marketing, Investments, Operations and Technology
  • Challenge the business constructively by providing objective financial insights, risk assessments, performance trends, and scenario analysis
  • Act as a sparring partner in business cases, particularly to IT Portfolio management and in strategic initiatives across departments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes, data flows, and tools
  • Promote collaboration between finance, operations, technology, and commercial teams, fostering an engaged and performance‑focused culture

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 7 years of work experience in Business Control or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Relevant academic education (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business Administration)
  • Proven track record at a multinational; experience in Financial Services is a plus
  • You enjoy and master business partnering — building trust, providing insights, and challenging stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, awareness of business impact, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement
  • Curiosity for technology and digital innovation
  • Team player who enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

Eligibility: Candidates must live in the EU and have a valid EU work permit
