About your future job
The goal of the Product Line Manager (PLM) Ionshield is to maximize competitiveness for the Ionshield solutions in the Fire Control market, contributing to the overall performance of the Product Line Above Water Systems (AWS).

IonShield is an advanced fire control solution for NATO navies that integrates advanced fire control radars sensors and advanced missiles and gun ammunition with a state-of-the-art fire control scheduler to maximize the effectiveness of navies in high-threat scenarios. IonShield forms the heart of our collaborative combat strategy.
With the approved Product Line Strategic Plan as guidance, the PLM safeguards the attractiveness of Ionshield solutions in the global frigate and destroyer market.

The PLM Ionshield has a proven experience in product management and demonstrable knowledge of systems-of-systems. The PLM is able to translate market and customer needs to an attractive and competitive Ionshield solution. The PLM communicates clearly with a wide range of stakeholders and is able to manage the solution in all its phases throughout the lifecycle.

The PLM Ionshield contributes to the AWS Product line Plan.

About you

The main tasks of the PLM Ionshield
From market studies to product withdrawal, the PLM Ionshield is responsible for the entire lifecycle. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing the global market, customer needs and trends, competition from marketing data and business intelligence;
  • Supporting the marketing, business development and sales teams for the product promotion and marketing activities;
  • Working closely with the PLM AWS on Business Line AWS level.

The PLM Ionshield:

  • Anticipates future customer requirements and reflects these in standardized products offerings for multiple customers and projects;
  • Deals well with complexity, is able to assess both operational and strategic outcomes and turn this into clear decision-making information;
  • Engages with the diverse stakeholders to deliver business goals using effective communication strategies;
  • Drives accountability within the product team for delivering innovative and compelling products & services in line with promised delivery schedules and quality;
  • Continuously challenges & inspires the team and their surroundings to look for smarter and more competitive product, services and solutions to create the best value for our customers.

About the team

The Product Line Manager Ionshield reports to the Product Segment Manager Fire Control and to the Product Line Manager of the Above Water Systems Business Line. The role itself is part of the Segment Fire Control in the One Naval business.

We are looking for a new colleague who:

  • Brings Fire Control to the next level with a clear business vision
  • Has multi-year experience in bids and/or projects and/or products in the defense and/or security domain
  • Has a proven experience in product management
  • Has a strong understanding of the global defense and security market and can demonstrate a good technical understanding
  • Demonstrates a strong self-direction with a high level of commitment and drive
  • Obtained a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant study area
