Senior Software Test Engineer
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Software Tester to join our teams and work on client projects in Limburg, Netherlands.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with software architects and software engineers to qualify software implementations across multiple projects
- Understand embedded software architectures and test software for display modules and display driving boards based on defined software requirements
- Review and analyze software requirements for testability and completeness
- Create, automate, and execute software qualification tests in a structured manner according to defined procedures
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test documentation
- Perform communication, diagnostics, and hardware-related testing
- Use oscilloscopes and other test equipment to validate software–hardware interaction
- Act as Software Qualification Owner, showing ownership, initiative, and a result-driven mindset
- Independently discuss technical and conceptual topics with software architects, engineers, and test/project leaders
- Log, track, and verify defects with strong analytical and decision-making skills
Must-Have Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive software testing
- Strong experience with CANoe and CAPL scripting
- Solid knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, I2C, SPI
- Experience with Diagnostics testing (CAN & UDS)
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscope-based testing
- Strong skills in test case and test script creation
- Good understanding of ISTQB testing methodologies and their application
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or JAMA
- Experience with defect management tools such as Redmine, JIRA, CoreALM
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
- Solid understanding of ASPICE SWE.6 test activities and the V-Model
- Strong analytical skills for requirement analysis, defect logging, and verification
Advantageous Experience & Knowledge
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- Knowledge of cybersecurity testing
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with automation and CI tools such as Jenkins
- Experience working in projects compliant with ASPICE Level 2
