Senior Spokesperson at NN Group
What you are going to do
As a senior spokesperson, you contribute to the reputation of NN Group, an international financial services company active in 10 countries with a strong presence in a number of European countries and Japan. You will be central to NN Group’s external positioning, considering business, investor, and societal perspectives.
As primary media contact and advisor to the management board, you’ll use your industry and financial markets knowledge to identify communication opportunities and risks. You help position NN Group and its activities, engage proactively with media, and support senior leadership in thought leadership and strategic communications.
The senior spokesperson is responsible for
- Acting as spokesperson for NN Group and affiliated labels and brands
- Developing and executing integrated communication strategies, key messaging, Q&A’s, etc.
- Producing content for NN Group channels, such as press releases, articles and social posts
- Advising and guiding the management and other colleagues within the organisation for media contacts
- Replacing the Head of Media Relations during his/her absence or vacation

Who you are
- Completed academic education and 5-10 years of work experience as spokesperson, on the client and/or agency side
- Flexible, critical thinker, collaborative, open mindset and experience with dealing with sensitive (financial) information
- A strong understanding of business, financial communications, environmental, social and governance matters and corporate reputation management
- Strong knowledge of and experience dealing with (inter)national media, dealing with the financial media is required
- A fluent pen and excellent command of the Dutch and the English language (spoken and written)
- Digital and data savvy, experience working with platforms to publish press releases, news articles etc.
- The capacity to translate complex information into clear, compelling messages, for different target groups and across channels
- A strong analytical ability and a good antenna for societal developments, self-directed and good in internal and external stakeholder management
- Experience with stakeholder management within a complex organisation
- Social media expertise, with a focus on analysis and the effective use of corporate social media channels
Who you will work with
- You are part of the Media Relations unit of the Corporate Communications team, part of the Corporate Relations function of NN Group. Corporate Relations (70 FTE) consists of four specialised teams: Brand Marketing, Sustainability & Social Impact, Corporate Communications, and Public & Governmental Affairs
- You are part of a team of spokespeople with whom you work closely
- You work closely with the Group Staff Functions (including Investor Relations, Treasury) and members of the NN Group Executive Board and Management Board
