- Work with cross functional teams to translate tax objectives (e.g., ViDA, DAC7, CESOP, e-invoicing) into an actionable capability roadmap with L2–L4 definitions, maturity heatmaps, and drive the delivery of a gap analysis between current and future state design, including deprecation plans for legacy solutions.

- Drive build/buy/hybrid recommendations for tax engines (e.g., Avalara, Vertex), ERP integration (SAP S/4, ECC, Oracle), invoicing connectivity, and reporting tools based on understanding of existing landscape and experience from previous implementations.
Requirements specific

- Ensure AI-compatibility and self-service enablement are considered in technology/tooling choices, with pragmatic trade-offs documented.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager Tax Data Reporting to establish tax master data governance that is platform-ready.
Process specific
- Ensure compliance processes are designed, documented and operating effectively post go live before handing over to operational teams.
- Support the Project Management team in driving cross-functional governance with a clear RACI across Tax, FinTech, Accounting, and Compliance; align delivery cadence and quality gates.
- Lead external engagements as needed (RFP discovery, roadmap alignment, compliance partners, commercials), ensuring high-quality, actionable deliverables and strong working relationships with external tax technology partners.
Training and upskilling the team
- Mentor, coach, and upskill tax technologists, analysts, and PMs; foster a pragmatic, delivery-first culture grounded in risk-based prioritization and measurable outcomes.
