For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for an Information Security Officer in our Information Systems Division.

About the role:
The Information Security Officer (ISO) is responsible for all activities that contribute to ensure that YME’s IT infrastructure, applications and data are kept safe from possible (outside) threats. As an ISO, you work within the Information Systems (IS) division to define and improve YME’s policies and procedures with respect to IT security. You are responsible for guiding all internal (J-SOX) and external IT audit activities and being the subject matter expert, you actively monitor the status of YME’s IT security. The Information Security Officer directly reports to the Division Manager Information Systems and works with YMC (head office in Japan).

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain YME’s information security policies;
  • Develop and maintain relevant (risk based) operational compliance guidelines, such as system hardening guidelines, vulnerability management etc.;
  • Develop middle and long-term security and privacy plans;
  • Educate, train and guide IT members on information security;
  • Perform IT security control activities and setting up, planning and monitoring control activities carried out within YME’s business processes;
  • Detect, monitor, respond to and report (possible) IT security incidents or data breaches;
  • Closely work together with YME’s Internal Audit division and YME’s Data Protection Officer;
  • Extend knowledge of Yamaha business processes and supporting applications;
  • Prepare and execute project related to information security;
  • Stay up to date with developments in the IT security field and with changing security and privacy regulations and determine the consequences for YME’s information security policy;
  • Clear communication with the key user’s community, IS colleagues and external consultants.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in informatics or information Management;
  • Min 5 years of experience as an information Security Officer, preferably in an international organization;
  • A CISSP, CISA or CISM certification;
  • Strong knowledge in relevant laws and regulations such as GDPR, PCI DSS and NIS2;
  • Aware of the relevant market standards in the field of Information Security (e.g. ISO27001, NIST) and ICT management standards (e.g. CobIT);
  • Good communication and social skills in an international environment;
  • Proficient in English language, both verbal and in written.
