The Supply Chain’s E-com Excellence team in Europe is responsible for coordinating and driving the roadmap of SCM projects and initiatives that will enable E-com’s ambitions in the region.
We unlock the full potential of EU Ecom by teaming up with Commercial to ensure that Supply Chain delivers what the channel needs to win. We enable smarter, faster, and more customer-centric operations by closing gaps and incubating new capabilities, transforming ideas into impactful supply chain solutions.
Ecom and the marketplace around it continuously evolve and this role is essential to keep SCM closely aligned with the channel’s demands. Looking at Q4 2025 and full year 2026, the 3 main workstreams that the Manager, SCM e-com excellence will drive are:
Partner Program expansion roadmap
The Partner Program business amplifies ecom’s reach within Europe, bringing our products to the multi-brand retailers in which consumers browse and shop, such as Zalando, ASOS and Amazon. It is one of the top growth drivers for our entire digital business in the region and requires a strong backbone of Supply Chain Management (SCM) experts and processes to continue to thrive.
In this role, you act as the central SCM orchestrator, translating strategic Partner Program ambitions into actionable supply chain plans. Your day is defined by proactively connecting Partner Program’s needs with SCM capabilities, ensuring resources are aligned and potential challenges are addressed before they impact delivery.
Your day-to-day activities will be:
Drive new projects
Development, planning and execution of Supply Chain initiatives, focused on the e-commerce sales channel. You thrive when coordinating the action to drive progress and deliver outcomes. This will include:
Land S4EU in ecom
S4EU is adidas Europe’s journey to migrate SAP to the S4 version. It will be executed in phases, the first one starting in Sep 2026.
In this first phase, part of the EU business will run on the new version of SAP, while the other part remains on the previous version. We call this the “Split Operations” phase of the project.
In preparation for the Split Operations phase of the S4EU rollout in Europe, the Manager, SCM Ecom Excellence will support the SCM readiness for the cutover phase of the project.
Campus South, our Italy-based DC and key for ecommerce flow of goods, will cease operations for some days and, after the system migration is completed, it will take over fulfilment of all orders to Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. Ensuring SCM readiness for before, during and after the cutover will be responsibility of the team, led by the Senior Manager.
You will support by driving workstreams that are essential for the project’s success, such as simulation of end-to-end SCM flows from DC to consumers, aimed at mitigating service-level gaps that result from the cutover. This role will also support the teams driving product availability at Campus South, which will be a key commercial success factor to minimize net sales impact.
Once the cutover is complete, you will support the hypercare phase of Split Operations. This phase will involve a wide array of experts and your role will be to monitor the end-to-end SCM performance. You will identify service level gaps that impact consumer experience and quickly create action plans to close them (connected to the first point described above).
In addition, you may be asked to support the S4EU project team in Change Management activities with the EU ecom and SCM teams.
To perform these three main responsibilities, it is essential that you become a trusted partner to different teams in the E-com business as well as in SCM. These teams will help you perform and you will help them by delivering projects and initiatives, communicating on performance, new implementations and escalations.
