NACO is searching for a lead aviation management consultant. Ready to shape the future of global air travel? Join us to define high-impact service propositions, lead thought leadership initiatives, and deliver consultancy projects worldwide.

What you do as a Lead Aviation Management Consultant

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and expanding our Aviation Business Consultancy services. By assessing external market opportunities and key industry questions, you will help diversify our service portfolio and lead the development of new, high-value offerings. This includes defining service propositions for C-level stakeholders and ensuring they align with latest trends, sector challenges, and evolving client needs. You will strengthen our industry presence through active thought leadership—researching, writing, and presenting insights on international platforms to build credibility and strengthen relationships with clients and the wider aviation community.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will deliver consultancy engagements worldwide through supporting critical Business Consultancy projects, where you will play a key role to translate technical solutions into strategic recommendations, challenging conventional approaches, and shaping innovative solutions that enable long-term growth. During projects, you will work closely with Project Managers acting as a subject matter expert to ensure the successful delivery of strategically important initiatives within your area of focus.

In addition, you:

  • Report to the Director of Global Aviation Strategy and be a part of the Aviation Future Services team.
  • Work as the internal representative to the Haskoning Business Consultancy group.
  • Are responsible for delivering high-quality work, often under tight deadlines, supported by multidisciplinary experts.

Where you will work

At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology.

You will be part of Aviation Future Services advisory group in Delft, part of NACO, where we work with colleagues on airport projects in the Netherlands and for international clients. Working alongside our many experts, we deliver on projects for some of the busiest airports in the world.

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced aviation consultant with a strong background in leading complex advisory projects for airportsand aviation authorities. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership capabilities, including the ability to design, shape, and drive initiatives at executive level, covering areas such as airport expansion, route development, regulatory compliance, and policy advisory. This role requires proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, engaging stakeholders, and driving strategic business development. In addition, you have:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in aviation consulting.
  • Strong client relationship skills, including expertise in proposal development and maintaining long-term partnerships with senior aviation stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency in aviation economics, policy, traffic forecasting, airport operations and sustainability frameworks.
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and deliver innovative solutions.

You have a proven ability to contribute to industry thought leadership through published articles, conference presentations, and by shaping and enhancing aviation advisory services.

What we offer you

At Haskoning, we believe that the well-being of our employees is essential to our shared success. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both your professional development and personal well-being.

What we offer:

  • A solid foundation: A competitive base salary with annual increases.

  • An attractive compensation package: Including a strong pension scheme with an 18.3% employer contribution, a 2.15% personal budget, and annual profit sharing. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase company shares and share in our success.

  • Work-life balance: 28 vacation days (based on full-time employment), with the option to purchase an additional 16.5 days per year and to exchange three public holidays for days that are personally meaningful to you. We work in a hybrid model with flexible hours, a home office allowance, and a fully equipped home workspace.

  • Development opportunities: A wide range of training and development programs, including tailored learning paths, learning weeks, and various knowledge-sharing groups.
