Procurement

As a Global Senior Buyer – Specialty Packaging you will drive a complex and cross divisional purchasing category, which will particularly serve Specialized Nutrition division.

The category covers metal containers & closures for baby food nutrition, with a global responsibility. The global category buyer is expected to drive Danone strategic agenda for the Specialized Nutrition division, with a spend of circa 200Meur.

Main objectives

  • Define/modify and implement a global purchasing strategy for the category in scope with the aim to deliver security of supply, sustainability, cost efficiency and innovation. Drive a best cost country approach to ensure sourcing localisation is always best option for the needs we have
  • Ensure supplier relationship management (SRM) and develop strategic partnership with selected key suppliers
  • Secure supply and quality improvement projects to mitigate high business exposure, while at the same time develop and introduce Business Contingency Improvement Roadmap on Tier 1 and Tier 2.
  • Develop and drive a governance program with other functions (S&OP, Qualify, R&I) to take best decision in terms of supply/demand and investment to ensure capacity available is always fitting the current & future needs.
  • Enable Innovation: drive supplier for project under Danone lead, and develop technological expertise to bring innovation from the outside in. Lead breakthrough approach on technology to drive innovation in all zones.
  • Drive the sustainable agenda topic for the category, in line with the overall Danone Pack Policy.

You will report to NAYDENOV Artem, Global C&P Manager - Specialty Packaging.

About you

Key requirements:

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in purchasing with strong knowledge of specialty categories (preferable packaging with metal or glass).
  • Agility, capacity to understand and navigate business complexity.
  • Tenacity with ability to build strong relationship in order to gain credibility and create an efficient network between CBUs and suppliers.
  • Fluent English.
  • Proven experience in project management and operations.

Please note, that this role is offered as a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the intention to extend to a permanent position after this period.
