Join ASML’s Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) ESG team, where innovation meets responsibility. As a leader in the semiconductor industry, ASML is committed to advancing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) sustainability. Our team is building a robust human rights due diligence system to meet upcoming regulations and drive responsible sourcing practices. This internship offers you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in global supply chains. The team offers two internship positions every six months so you will have an opportunity to team up with another intern.

Your assignment

As a Human Rights Due Diligence Intern, you will support our SS&P ESG team in embedding responsible sourcing practices across ASML’s supply chain. You will work closely with the Responsible Supply Chain Manager and contribute to projects that prepare ASML for compliance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the EU Forced Labor Regulation (EUFLR), among others.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Responsible Supply Chain Manager in daily tasks and strategic initiatives

  • Assist in collecting and improving supplier data for risk assessments

  • Contribute to projects to ensure CSDDD and EUFLR compliance

  • Help monitor supplier adherence to the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct

  • Conduct research on material risks (e.g., cobalt) and human rights topics (e.g., forced labor)

  • Analyze country-specific risks related to human rights impacts

  • Prepare documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, economics, politics or social sciences with a focus on responsible business conduct, human rights, corporate sustainability and/or ESG

  • Have knowledge of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and OECD Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct

  • Are collaborative, analytical, and proactive in your approach

  • Communicate clearly and can summarize complex topics effectively

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
