React Developer (Shopify)

About your role

OWOW is looking for a React Developer with strong Shopify experience to join our development team. In this role you will work on modern, headless Shopify projects built with React and Next.js, using our own template and boilerplate called Atlas.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining Shopify-powered products end-to-end. This includes server-side React, integrations with Shopify APIs, and shaping how Shopify data is exposed to both CMS users and end customers.

You won’t be limited to Shopify projects, but your deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem is essential for guiding both clients and our team toward smart, strategic decisions.

You will work closely with designers, other developers, and clients, translating complex e-commerce requirements into elegant technical solutions. You enjoy ownership, have a strong opinion on architecture, and feel comfortable making technical decisions that impact the long term.

Job requirements

• Strong experience with React and Next.js, including server-side rendering and data fetching.
• Proven experience with headless Shopify implementations.
• Solid Shopify domain knowledge and understanding of e-commerce concepts.
• Experience working with the Shopify Admin API on the server side.
• Experience building CMS-driven interfaces that integrate Shopify data such as products and collections.
• Experience implementing custom cart logic, sessions, and product configurators.
• Experience using the Shopify Storefront API in the front-end.
• Knowledge of markets, countries, multi-language, and multi-currency setups in Shopify.
• Experience with Liquid and Shopify theme development.
• Strong JavaScript skills and familiarity with modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience with Vue is a plus.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Comfortable working in sprints within a multidisciplinary team.
• Based in the Netherlands and willing to work from our Eindhoven office (hybrid work policy).
• Fluent in English or Dutch, spoken and written.
