In this role, you will manage the financial administration of our investment funds and ensure high-quality reporting and compliance with regulations. Your goal

Marktlink Capital is a Private Equity & Venture Capital (PE & VC) Fund Manager based in the Netherlands, with headquarters in Amsterdam. We offer entrepreneurs and private investors access to the best PE & VC funds. Marktlink Capital currently has a team of over 55 professionals and manages over EUR 2.8 billion in capital commitments. This capital comes from over 2.200 investors who have collectively invested in over 130 PE & VC funds.

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements;
  • Reviewing accounting activities, including accruals, interest calculations, sales bookings, movements in investment properties, lease incentives, intangible assets, and service charge reconciliations in accordance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
  • Coordinating and overseeing capital calls and distributions;
  • Actively managing carry by ensuring efficient capital calls and effective use of available facilities;
  • Preparing and reviewing cash flow statements and advising on liquidity planning and capital allocation;
  • Informing the investment team and advising senior fund accountants on liquidity management;
  • Designing, implementing, and enforcing fund control frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations;
  • Approving payments and overseeing cash movements;
  • Leading and managing overall fund accounting operations, including supervising external fund administrators and ensuring data accuracy and consistency;
  • Preparing client-specific periodic (fund) reports and performance analyses;
  • Coordinating CIT and VAT filings;
  • Preparing audit files, managing relationships with auditors and depositaries, and representing the firm during fund audits;
  • Informing the CFO, Management Team, and Managing Partners on fund performance, cash planning, risks, and strategic improvement opportunities;
  • Following up on and coordinating complex client-specific accounting and fund-related requests;
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining assigned internal policies;
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships related to fund operations.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus;
  • ACCA certification is considered an advantage;
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or financial services, preferably within fund management or private equity;
  • Deep understanding of fund administration, including NAV calculation processes, regulatory requirements, and fund structures;
  • Proven experience leading fund accounting operations and supervising external service providers;
  • Strong proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills;
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities;
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a proactive and hands-on mindset;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and collaborate across teams;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
