Your goal:

As the Social Media Intern, your focus will be on social media and content creation within our Marketing team. You will help ideate, plan, and produce engaging content for our different social platforms, and assist with the pre-production of shoots, asset creation, and brainstorming new concepts. You’ll also support wider brand and creative projects when needed.

In this internship, you will work closely with our Creative and Brand teams to coordinate, create, and execute social-first content. From developing content ideas and writing captions to preparing briefings, scouting references, and supporting shoot logistics, you’ll be involved in every step of the creative process. One day you’re brainstorming fresh concepts for TikTok or Instagram, and the next you’re crafting eye-catching posts or helping prepare materials for a social shoot.

You’ll also collaborate with our brand managers on various projects, such as internal campaigns and local activations. You are extroverted, an excellent communicator and spot chances to realize quick wins. Your responsibilities:

• Bring fresh, creative ideas to the table and stay on top of trends, translating what’s trending into content that fits the Swapfiets brand.
• Develop a monthly content calendar in collaboration with our Global Brand Manager.
• Take responsibility for scheduling and publishing content that you co-create with our team of creatives.
• Support in producing social media analyses and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with localizing content and coordinating translations across all our markets.
• Create internal campaigns and activations to engage both Swapfiets employees and members.
• Work with the Creative Team and Brand Managers to help execute brand activations across multiple countries.
• Keep a sharp eye on marketing, design, and consumer trends: monitoring the landscape and preparing trend reports and competitor analyses to guide our strategic focus.

Your profile:

You are a student in the field of marketing, communications or digital. You are enthusiastic about brands, content, design, marketing, events and customers and you are ready to improve your skills together with us at Swapfiets. Next to that you bring:

• Minimum HBO-working and thinking level;
• You live in (or near) Amsterdam (and you have a student travel product);
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills;
• Strong affinity with copywriting & content creation;
• You’re not afraid to reach out to colleagues and stakeholders to get the job done;
• Strong project management skills to make sure our social media planning runs smoothly;
• Knowledge and ideas to bring our social platforms to the next level;
• Concept development of different social media posts;
• A well-trained creative eye;
• Good knowledge of print and digital execution processes;
• Enthusiasm and good organizational skills;
• You are available for 5-6 months;
• You can start in February;
• You can work at least 32 hours per week.
