SAP Consultant - Order to Cash

We are expanding our Central IT team and are excited to welcome a new IT professional to our headquarters in Rotterdam. In this role, you will act as our IT expert and internal consultant, taking full ownership of the Order to Cash (O2C) application/process area. You will be responsible for ensuring stability, improvements, and projects within O2C processes and systems. While much of the execution is handled by external suppliers and partners, you will coordinate and oversee their work, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. At the same time, you remain hands-on when needed, taking responsibility for specific projects or configuration tasks yourself.

You will maintain deep knowledge of end-to-end O2C business processes (order entry, delivery, billing, credit, collections, cash application) and their integration within SAP S/4HANA. On productive systems, you guide the business on master data, housekeeping, and best practices. On test systems, you take ownership of end-to-end testing, training, or demos. You stay updated on S/4HANA O2C developments, anticipate business needs, and drive continuous improvements.

SAP Consultant – O2C (Order 2 Cash)

The tasks and responsibilities are:

• Act as the Order to Cash (O2C) process owner, ensuring stability, performance, and timely incident resolution through internal teams and external partners.
• Manage suppliers and stakeholders to secure on-time, high-quality delivery and business satisfaction across projects and operations.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into functional designs aligned with SAP S/4HANA capabilities and IT standards.
• Collaborate with external partners on configuration, development, and deployment, ensuring business needs are met efficiently.
• Oversee testing and change management, coordinating unit, integration, and UAT phases while ensuring smooth go-lives and knowledge transfer.
• Take hands-on ownership of smaller changes or urgent projects, including configuration, testing, and hypercare support when needed.
• Monitor process and system performance, identifying trends, driving corrective actions, and implementing continuous improvements.
• Promote process simplification and automation within O2C to enhance efficiency and standardization across Refresco’s European and UK operations.

About you

We are looking for a people-oriented and enthusiastic SAP Consultant O2C with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• At least 5 years of SAP consulting experience with strong focus on O2C (Sales & Distribution, Billing, Credit Management, Collections).
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA O2C processes and configuration; ability to challenge suppliers and validate their solutions.
• Strong integration knowledge with MM, PP, EWM, and Transportation modules.
• Familiarity with ABAP; debugging skills are a strong plus.
• Knowledge of pricing, output management, and EDI/IDoc processing.
• Strong understanding of FMCG / production business processes.
• Experience working with external service providers and coordinating offshore/nearshore teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; a second European language is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and structured change management processes.
