Job Description
The Manager Security Engineering will manage the development, oversight, and provide advice on the execution of security engineering programs and initiatives for the Group Security Physical Security department. This role requires a unique combination of physical security and security engineering expertise, coupled with project management experience.
Your role is to:
- Assist in advancing the development of Enterprise Access Control Solutions, CCTV, Intruder alarms, and Security systems engineering programs in line with the Philips Security Management Framework (SMF) standards.
- Assist and advise in the development of security systems awareness and training programs.
- Hold budget and results accountability for assigned projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Philips Security Engineering Program and related capabilities.
- Maintain a network of peer companies, consultants, vendors, and organizations to stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert in security engineering program development.
- Report performance metrics of physical security systems installation vendor services, delivery performance, actual spend vs. budget variance, cost reduction goal attainment, post-installation defect analysis, etc.
- Develop and manage operational metrics and KPIs with strategic vendors in alignment with procurement.
- Support external installers during integration projects at all Philips locations.
You're the right fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of requisite experience and education, and ASIS and/or TAPA affiliation.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and metrics defining operational performance.
- 3-5 years’ experience with security engineering program development and implementation, preferably in a multi-national corporate setting.
- Experience in strategic planning and program management in the global security domain.
- Knowledge of various Access Control, CCTV, and other security systems. Certification on access control and CCTV systems is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead projects with both technical and non-technical individuals, focusing on physical security standards and design.
- Experience managing security systems programs/projects of medium to large scale.
- Experience in project management, strategic planning, and initiatives.
- Project management experience with security systems hardware installations, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection devices, and other components of physical security systems in infrastructure fit-outs.
- Ability to work within a matrix environment with cross-functional collaboration, including Real Estate, Physical Security, Personnel Security, IT, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and others.
- Strong strategic program management and consulting skills.
- Ability to identify risk and define mitigation measures.
- Ability to build relationships with GS-PSO management and business leaders, and to engage and communicate to influence stakeholders.
- Ability to influence expectations and mitigate conflict.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo, innovate, and introduce new ideas.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
