Purpose of the job

The Treasury and Insurance Operations Specialist is a challenging position within a successful, professional, dynamic, and innovative corporate function. This role offers an excellent and unique opportunity to broaden your finance skill set by exploring the banking and insurance side of our company. You will become familiar with how AkzoNobel manages its Purchase-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes efficiently and effectively between our business and external banks. Training and development will be offered to support a successful assignment.

The Treasury and Insurance Operations team manages the daily operations of Treasury and Insurance, serving as the center where all Treasury activities converge: execution of external and intercompany business payments, validation and settlement of external FX contracts, settlement of intercompany loans, and external guarantees to support local business. With high levels of automation, the focus is on controls, exception handling, continuous improvement, and customer support. The key objective is to sustain efficient, effective, and controlled execution of transactional processes at the lowest cost for both Treasury and Insurance. The challenge is to deliver on this ambition in a dynamic environment, dealing with constant changes in the organization, people, processes, and systems. This requires an adaptive and client-focused attitude, always seeking continuous improvements.

We offer a great opportunity to learn Treasury activities within AkzoNobel and enable you to further develop your Treasury skills in a professional environment with excellent career opportunities, either within the Treasury function or elsewhere within our company.
