Finance Project Manager

As a Finance Project Manager, you will own the Finance-side delivery of Finance system and process initiatives across the organisation. You act as the bridge between Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure that Finance requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered in line with control, compliance, and reporting needs.

You are accountable for translating Finance processes into actionable system requirements, maintaining governance, and ensuring Finance outcomes are achieved. You are the Finance owner for Finance-related change initiatives, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, controlled, and explainable.

You will:

• Own end-to-end delivery of Finance system and process improvement projects from a Finance perspective (scope, planning, governance, and outcomes)
• Gather, structure, and translate Finance requirements into clear specifications for SAP/ERP teams and vendors
• Act as the primary Finance point of contact for IT and external partners, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and dependencies
• Ensure solutions align with Finance processes, controls, compliance, and reporting requirements
• Coordinate UAT, support change management activities, and ensure proper sign-off and documentation

You have:

• Proven experience delivering Finance-related system or process improvement projects
• Strong understanding of core Finance processes and controls (e.g. R2R, P2P, O2C, month-end close)
• Hands-on experience working with ERP systems in a Finance context (SAP required), with the ability to interpret functional designs
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT, and external vendors
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities

Nice to have:

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and/or Finance transformation programmes
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, or complex multi-entity environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience working with external ERP implementation partners
• Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP, Agile)
