As a risk engineer, you are the key player in further developing Boskalis' position within the Offshore Energy market. You improve the tender process and the offers Boskalis submits by ensuring all important risks and opportunities are considered. By actively challenging stakeholders, you make a constructive and valued contribution to the tender phase, all to achieve smooth project execution with a spot-on risk budget. You are process-minded, able to adapt to different situations and personalities, and work well in a high-pressure environment. You are curious, decisive, and dare to mention what most people dislike hearing: possible risks or problems. As a risk engineer, you have the opportunity to visit projects and vessels around the globe.

Your responsibilities as risk engineer:

  • Identify, prioritize, and address potential opportunities and risks in both the tender and project execution phases by conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses (including Monte Carlo simulations).
  • Ensure risk management remains high on the agenda and is embedded throughout the organization by facilitating risk sessions for the Tender team and following up until tender submission.
  • Document and track the status and implementation of necessary risk response actions, ensuring lessons learned and best practices are logged and shared to improve future tender processes and offers.

Your Qualities:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as an engineer, preferably in the Offshore Energy sector.
  • A master’s degree in Construction Management, (Marine or Civil) Engineering, Logistic Management, or a similar field.
  • Experience in Monte Carlo or logistical simulations, or Oracle Primavera Risk is considered an advantage.

Key Competencies:

  • Actively develops and expands relationships with potential partners and stakeholders, maintaining regular contact with existing network connections and leveraging relationships to achieve objectives.
  • Anticipates developments and responds proactively with proposals and innovative ideas.
  • Engages in constructive discussions and considers diverse perspectives while preserving positive working relationships.
