The Seed Quality Processing Optimization Specialist continuously strives to improve the quality of our products, with existing and new technologies. The Specialist aims to simplify processes and reduce risk in seed processes. Existing protocols are being evaluated versus practical seed processing, deviations are identified and resolved by observations and statistical data analysis. The Seed Quality Processing Optimization Specialist is the ambassador and mentor for seed processing quality within Enkhuizen Operations. The Specialist is working in multidisciplinary teams to gain and share knowledge for Seed Quality and is the go-to person for Operators for seed processing quality inquiries. In this position you will report to the Unit Lead E2E. This role requires fulltime presence at the Enkhuizen site.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to resolve operational challenges related to seed processes.
  • Supports the operational teams with questions regarding seed quality for processing and protocols.
  • Evaluates existing protocols versus practical seed processing, identifies deviations by observations and statistical data analysis.
  • Simplifies processes and reduces risk related to process control.
  • Provides first in line support when it comes to complaint management related to seed (process) quality processes by identifying root causes of problems and coordinating implementation of long-term solutions.
  • Updates procedures and protocols, in collaboration with Seed Production Innovation and Quality team, for seed process optimization and secures sustainable communication about those.
  • Pro-active in observing and pursuing opportunities to improve protocols to improve quality.
  • Solves seed technology problems while exhibiting judgment and a technical understanding of issues.
  • Leads the management of change and responsibility for training employees on new protocols in seed processing.

WHO ARE YOU

  • MSc in Agricultural Science, Agronomy or Biology field required, MSc 5 years, BSc 8-10 years or other relevant experience.
  • A track record of successful project delivery and implementation.
  • Excellent people, and organizational skills and able to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal, adaptable to various situations and audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and focus on outcomes.
  • Very strong ability to navigate in a multicultural environment with focus on collaboration and inclusion.
