Infrastructure Developer

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Developer with strong development skills and a passion for automation to join our compute operations team. This role is focused on building and maintaining automation and APIs around our private and public cloud environments.

You will work on the integration, customization, and lifecycle management of OpenStack services, with an emphasis on writing clean, reliable code to streamline operations and enable scalable, self-service infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop Python-based automation and services to manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., provisioning VMs, managing networks, storage, and quotas).
  • Interact directly with OpenStack APIs (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc.) to build integrations and improve infrastructure automation.
  • Design and implement internal APIs and microservices to expose infrastructure capabilities to other teams.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools like Pulumi or Terraform where necessary.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and influence the evolution of our cloud platform.
  • Monitor, debug, and improve the performance and reliability of automation systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency in Python or Go, including experience with building automation tools
  • Strong background in Linux system administration in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration.
  • Comfortable working with automation and IaC tools (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform).
  • Experience using Git and participating in code reviews.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of OpenStack APIs and services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices in an operational context
  • Familiarity with workflow and process orchestration tools (e.g. Temporal)
  • Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals and concepts
