Why choose Eneco?

Eneco is an international energy company dedicated to accelerating the energy transition. Guided by our mission ‘everyone’s sustainable energy’, we help consumers and businesses switch to renewable energy. Since 2007, this mission has been firmly embedded in our strategy. Eneco’s ambition is to be climate-neutral by 2035—not only in our own operations, but also in the energy we supply to our customers.

Eneco Wind Operations Offshore (EWOO) manages the operations of several offshore wind farms, including Prinses Amaliawindpark (120 MW), Luchterduinen (129 MW), Blauwwind (731.5 MW), Two Towers (19 MW), and Crosswind (759 MW). The portfolio will soon expand with the Ecowende project (780 MW), scheduled for commissioning in 2026. Through our experience and knowledge, EWOO contributes continuously to improving the development and operation of new offshore wind farms.

What you’ll do

As a Marine & Maintenance Coordinator, you are responsible for the planning and coordination of our offshore wind farms. You will be the linking pin between all our offshore windfarms and act as a spider in the web between vessels, maintenance teams, and our Operations Control Center. Your goal is to keep the state of the windfarms to the required level. You will actively share lessons learned between sites and contribute to continuous improvement in performance, reliability, and safety.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Safe operation of the wind farms and contributing to a proactive safety culture.
  • Providing project safety inductions for contractors, visitors, and ship crews.
  • Performing vessel inspections before they are allowed to enter the site.
  • Coordination between third parties and the EWOO team, including contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Translating the annual plans per windfarm to daily activities and monitoring progress.
  • Chairing the daily coordination meeting between all parties.
  • Signaling and analyzing malfunctions and directing maintenance teams.
  • Issuing work permits and monitoring the safety of our offshore assets.
  • Keeping the availability forecast of the assets up to date, in close consultation with colleagues from the Operational Control Center in Rotterdam.

Is this about you?

You thrive in dynamic environments and adapt quickly to new challenges. With strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a drive for results, you know how to get things done.

  • Bachelor degree, maritime officer or engineering qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the offshore and/or wind sector is a big plus.
  • Structured, showing initiative and decisive; collaborating and connecting people in an international context.
  • Be results-oriented; ability to separate the essentials from the nice-to-have and keep a birds-eye view on the projects.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing in English; Dutch is a plus.

This is where you’ll work

You will join Eneco’s Offshore Wind Operations team—a multidisciplinary group of turbine, civil, mechanical and electrical specialists, asset analysts, and HSSE and ecology experts. Our teams are based in IJmuiden, Ostend, and Rotterdam.

You will report to the BoP Operations Manager and work primarily from our IJmuiden office, offering a beautiful view over the North Sea. Eneco supports hybrid working: 40% in the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly.

What we have to offer

  • Gross annual salary between €71.000 and €100.000 including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.
  • FlexBudget: Have it paid out, use it to buy extra holiday days or save it up for something nice—it's up to you.
  • Personal and professional growth: Eneco is fully committed to help you in your personal and professional development.
  • Hybrid working: home, office or abroad: Work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.

Work that works for you and the climate

If you decide on a career at Eneco, you are choosing ambition, growth and opportunities. You will have all the space you want to improve yourself and do your job the way that suits you best, which includes having a good work-life balance. You can work to a flexible schedule and work partly from home if your role allows it. That is how you can work on your own future and on the future of the world. After all, you and your 4,000 colleagues are committed to our mission: climate neutrality by 2035. We assist customers to accelerate their sustainability efforts, devise innovative solutions and seize opportunities with both hands. Are you ready?
