Technical Support Consultants at IDEXX are the direct line between IDEXX and our customers. This role is best suited to organized, passionate communicators who strive to help veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and animal healthcare diagnostic professionals keep our pets healthy. As the first point of contact between IDEXX and our customers, our support professionals are vitally important.

In their roles, Technical Support Consultants develop deep and meaningful relationships with our customers, offering solutions to meet their unique needs. Every interaction with a customer allows us to demonstrate the power of diagnostics that helps veterinary practices – and the pets under their care – thrive.

In this Role

  • Answer customer questions, explain products and services, instruct in the use of equipment, coordinate and assist with equipment installations, configure computer system hardware or software, and troubleshoot and repair system, database, or data communication issues.
  • Determine customer needs, research and provide solutions, coordinating with other team members as needed.
  • Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and continue to build strong customer relationships.
  • Contribute to the well-being of pets and the reassurance of their owners through this dynamic role, which involves lots of troubleshooting and challenges.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • A natural affinity for helping customers; self-motivated, stress-resistant, and empathetic nature.
  • Fluency in German and English. Fluency in Dutch is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn; experience in a technically related field is helpful, preferably within a veterinary practice, laboratory setting, and/or contact center environment. Networking and/or software support experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in one of the required languages; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Availability for full-time work.
