The Regulatory Affairs Intern will support a dynamic team responsible for enabling product sales through regulatory approvals, registrations, and compliance activities. This role focuses on developing and implementing AI-driven tools and agents to enhance efficiency in regulatory processes, helping the department maintain products on the market and streamline workflows.

Your role:

  • Develop and implement AI tools to automate regulatory tasks such as submission generation, document management, and compliance tracking.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and propose AI-driven solutions.
  • Conduct research on AI applications in regulatory affairs, analyzing trends and best practices.
  • Analyze data from regulatory workflows and AI performance to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare concise reports and presentations on productivity improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for AI tools and regulatory processes, ensuring compliance.
  • Stay informed on regulatory requirements and emerging AI technologies.

You're the right fit if:

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science.
  • You have an interest in AI/ML and automation.
  • You have basic programming skills (Python preferred).
  • You have strong analytical and research skills.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • You have good communications and documentation skills.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300 net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255 net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) needs to be more than 1.5 hours. Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192 net. Paid holidays per internship term.
