We are looking for an intern with a passion for full-stack development to join the Harmonized Business Case (HBC) Management Team. In this role, you will design and implement intuitive user interfaces, APIs, and microservices that enhance financial modeling capabilities for long-term strategic partnerships in the healthcare industry. You will work in an Agile environment following SCRUM methodology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. As part of a dynamic team of experts, you will gain hands-on experience in Philips Healthcare LSP modeling, deal approval processes, and user acceptance testing, while contributing to tools that drive recurring revenue and operational excellence.

Your role:

  • Increase modeling capabilities in UI, API, and microservices
  • Build, test, and deploy new features that enrich financing options and scenarios
  • Gain hands-on experience in Philips Healthcare LSP modeling and deal approval process
  • Actively participate in user acceptance testing for financial models
  • Design, develop, and connect additional functionality in the intuitive user interface
  • Add modals, microservices, and expand APIs to support subscription and pay-per-use payment plans
  • Support unit testing with updates to Playwright and maintain technical documentation
  • Prepare deployment, update test scripts, and assist end users
  • Document processes and create work instructions for end users

You're the right fit if:

  • You are finalizing your BSc or MSc degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • You have a strong interest in learning finance and accounting concepts
  • You have experience developing user interfaces, backend services, and working with relational databases
  • You are proficient in Java, JavaScript (React), and SQL for full-stack development
  • You can take ownership of projects, structure your work, and seek assistance when needed
  • You are fluent in English and a collaborative team player

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300 net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255 net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) needs to be more than 1.5 hours. Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192 net. Paid holidays per internship term.
