Techleap seeks to shape its narrative and strengthen its position within the deeptech and valorisation ecosystem through strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. As a Senior Communications Strategist, you will lead the development and execution of communication strategies, media relations, and ambassador programs. This role gives you broad influence and high visibility, where your expertise elevates Techleap’s profile across media channels and within the deeptech community.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will design and drive Techleap’s Deeptech and Valorisation overarching communication strategy, ensuring clear, compelling, and consistent messaging across all channels. You’ll create scalable frameworks that support existing deeptech programs and can be extended to emerging domains like clean tech, defense, and other critical sectors.

You will act as the primary liaison with media and PR agencies, guiding outreach efforts that position Techleap as a thought leader within the European deeptech ecosystem. A key part of your work involves identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with influential founders, policymakers, investors, academics, and industry leaders who can serve as Techleap ambassadors.

You’ll lead ambassador-driven initiatives such as podcasts, audiovisual content, debates, roundtables, and high-impact briefings—ensuring these efforts strengthen both narrative and community engagement. Collaboration is central: you’ll work closely with internal teams to align messaging, maximize outreach, and elevate the visibility of key topics shaping the Dutch tech landscape.

Content creation is another core element of your work. You’ll produce articles, social posts, op-eds, and ecosystem stories rooted in data insights, and act as a ghostwriter for Techleap spokespeople when needed. Working alongside the Public Affairs Lead, you’ll also co-create campaigns that influence the political agenda and articulate Techleap’s position on critical ecosystem priorities.

  • 6–8 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, and content management within tech or innovation sectors.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • 4+ years of project management experience, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Europe.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, capable of representing Techleap credibly and professionally.
  • Fluency in the English and Dutch language is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the valorisation and deeptech ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of public affairs and policy dynamics.

  • Techleap’s academic and deeptech founders gain strategic global visibility.
  • A dynamic ambassador strategy is implemented, activating influential ecosystem voices to shape policy agendas and highlight critical emerging topics.

What we offer

  • A salary between €5,400 - €6,100 gross per month (full-time)
