Quality Lead at Canon

What You’ll Do

Our quality leads make sure we build the right products (validation) and that we build the products right (verification). Involved in all phases of the project, from requirements engineering to release processes, the quality lead focuses on securing the quality by assessing the quality in a continuous way (by means of Continuous Improvement / Continuous Delivery) and influencing the project team with the right quality processes. The quality lead is the coach of quality engineers in the project, making sure verification and validation are performed according to plan.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Reviewing product requirements and validating customer expectations
  • Planning QA activities in the project
  • Monitoring QA activities and coaching QA engineers
  • Reporting quality continuously and writing comprehensive quality reports for releases
  • Being part of the Technical Committee leading the project, with a focus on quality
  • Defining quality processes to support product development in an optimal way

Who You’ll Work With

Our international organization has a flat hierarchy, so you’ll be working with lots of other people in an open, creative, multidisciplinary environment. You'll be working with designers, developers, and architects in several departments in Venlo, Poing, and Timisoara.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a team player who has:

  • A bachelor's degree in software engineering or a similar subject, plus 5 to 10 years of experience in the field
  • Skills in software lifecycle management
  • Team leadership skills
  • Knowledge of SW test management working methods
  • Strong quality drive
  • An eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
