Who are we?

Portbase is the digital engine behind the Dutch ports! Each year, more than 30,000 seagoing vessels and 100,000 inland vessels arrive in the Port of Rotterdam alone. Every day, they unload enough material to build 175 Eiffel Towers. To manage this smoothly, Customs, shipping lines, terminals, and over 6,000 logistics companies collaborate via Portbase’s system.

Our Port Community System (PCS) connects logistics parties so that goods move faster, smarter, and more sustainably through the chain.

What do we offer you?

  • Hybrid working from a modern office next to Blaak Station and the Markthal.
  • Plenty of opportunities for growth and development through performance development, the Portbase Academy, and knowledge sessions.
  • A culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and personal initiative.
  • 26 vacation days (with the option to buy more), diversity hours, and excellent secondary employment conditions.
  • An attractive annual salary including holiday pay and a 13th month.

Would you like to make a visible impact as a Software Engineer in a logistics chain where every minute counts, and help build digital solutions that make hinterland transport smarter and more efficient?
