Your Mission

As a Business Developer, you will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy industry. Your goal will be to secure sponsorships for our events, manage client accounts, and identify new opportunities for collaboration and growth. You will collaborate with our event managers, marketing team, and the overall project teams to ensure the success of our events.

KPIs You Will Be Measured By:

• Revenue Targets: Achieving monthly and quarterly sponsorship revenue goals for our events.
• Lead Conversion: Successfully converting leads into partnerships for upcoming events.
• Client Satisfaction & Retention: Building strong, lasting relationships that lead to repeat sponsorships and referrals.
• Event Engagement: Ensuring sponsors are fully engaged and satisfied with the value they receive from their participation.
• Pipeline Management: Maintaining an organized and active sales pipeline, tracking opportunities and progress in Salesforce.

Job Requirements

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, sustainability, renewable energy, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in an event or B2B environment.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural setting with clients across various countries and time zones.
• Strong curiosity or passion for the renewable energy industry & events sector.
• CRM Experience: Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English (Dutch, Spanish, or German are a plus).
• A self-starter with excellent communication skills, focused on achieving practical results.
• Availability to travel for international events & trade fairs.

What We Offer

• An initial contract for 32 to 40 hours per week, with the possibility of contract extension based on performance.

• 28 days of paid leave per full working year (based on full-time employment).
• 20 days per year to work remotely after 6 months of employment.
• A hybrid work policy (50% home/50% office after your third month), working in the office 3 days a week if you have a 5-day work week.
