Job Description
- Function/Region: HEINEKEN Global Procurement (HGP)
- (Sub)department: Supply Chain Procurement – Sustainable Production
- Reports to: Global Category Manager Energy
- Type of Contract: Fixed Term (6 months)
- Job purpose: You’ll support the Sustainable Production team in driving operational excellence through data analytics, business intelligence (BI) and AI experimentation. You’ll also assist in general procurement activities, including contract management and financial data structuring for category management.
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a flexible, hands-on intern who is eager to contribute wherever the business needs support most. Whether it's building dashboards, diving into data modelling, supporting with increasing efficiency through AI, or assisting with procurement operations, you’ll play a key role in helping our team deliver on its sustainability and procurement excellence goals. This internship is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is excited to learn across multiple domains.
- Data Insights & Power BI Dashboarding
- Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards for energy and water performance and category tracking.
- Develop Excel-based macros and data visualizations for operational insights.
- Drive data consistency and quality of metrics across categories.
- AI Integration
- Identify AI opportunities to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and test AI prompts and tools using Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and Azure AI, among others.
- Contribute to AI playbooks and guidance documentation for team-wide adoption.
- Procurement & Finance Support
- Assist in contract management by screening agreements and extracting key terms into structured formats using AI.
- Support financial analysis and reporting for category managers.
- Enhance Power BI dashboards with insights from contract screening and financial analysis and modelling.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across supply chain, procurement, and finance.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews with stakeholders.
- Support the team to streamline procurement activities to business needs.
The unique you!
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in: Sustainability, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Data Science or Business Administration.
- Digital savvy with expertise in using Microsoft Office applications with particular focus on Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint and Copilot.
- Curiosity about AI and eager to explore its practical applications in a business setting.
- Programming proficiency in SQL or other programming language(s) and previous coursework or projects related to machine learning or AI are a plus.
- Comfortable working in international, cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with strong analytical mindset.
- Interest or experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
Conditions of HEINEKEN
- You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
- In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
- In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
- You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
- You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
What We Offer
- A full-time internship, starting on March 1, 2026
- During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup.
- Your main office will be at the Base Schiphol, Amsterdam
- You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm (based on 40 hours per week).
- You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime).
- If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed.
