About Yamaha Motor Europe:

Job Purpose

You will be part of the Internal Audit Division, responsible for internal audit at Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME). Working with your manager, you will help to execute the YME Internal Audit Plan and support the execution of J-SOX testing. You will cooperate with Internal Audit of YMC at selected audits. The Internal Audit plan contains a mix of compliance, IT, Financial and Operational Audits and consultancy assignments, with this role focusing on IT and Operational audits.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Internal Audit
    • Execute YMC’s annual internal audit plan for Project Reviews, Compliance Reviews, IT and Operational Audits, and coordinate all related activities within YME and its subsidiaries/branches.
    • Conduct IT audits (including application controls and system report testing) within the YME group (YME HO, IWL, YMFF, and MBK), including risk assessments, audit programs, working papers, draft reporting, supervising consultants, and coordinating audit and J-SOX IT activities with external auditors.
    • Lead J-SOX design and testing review activities, working extensively with control owners, the YMC J-SOX team, and other Yamaha Internal Audit departments to learn and apply best practices. Coordinate activities of the external auditor.
    • Draft audit reports that clearly and concisely describe complex issues for all levels in the organization, inspiring and motivating management to act.
    • Develop and update Operational audit programs, with a deep understanding of risks within Yamaha.
    • Independently perform Operational Audits and Compliance Reviews, coordinating between the auditee, external auditors, YMC auditors, YME HO Directors, and the Internal Audit Division.
    • Quickly grasp new types of audit objects such as Financial Services, HSE, Manufacturing, transfer pricing, GDPR, and STC audits.
    • Contribute to Data Analytics (tools and analysis) to ensure Internal Audit focuses on the right processes and is efficient in its resources.
  • Various tasks within the scope of Internal Audit
    • Contribute to projects (such as SAP, Stock/Inventory, and Costing projects), requiring strong project management and interpersonal skills, sound decision-making, and initiative.
    • Provide general support to the Internal Audit Division manager, including presentations to local and senior management, invoice review, annual planning, strategy sessions with internal parties, developing data analytics, and various ad hoc tasks such as mentoring junior Internal Audit & Compliance staff, and IIA standard implementation. Able to replace the Division Manager in case of absence.

Job Context / Organisation Chart
You will report to the Internal Audit Division Manager, who reports to the Corporate Director, MCM and YMC Internal Audit. You will need to build strong relationships and work closely with all Divisions and departments of YME, maintain regular contact with YMC and YME subsidiaries/branches, and occasionally communicate with outside contacts. You are expected to work independently, bringing added value through strategic, conceptual, and analytic thinking, as well as insight into the business culture.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of business experience, including 5+ years in Internal Audit
  • Extensive experience in IT audit (preferably in AS400 environment, IT General Controls, IT security, Change Management, Application security, Network operations), CISA certified
  • Experience in Operational Auditing / SOX (including application controls testing)
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Auditing, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Certified auditor (CIA, RE, CISA, or comparable)
  • Ability to further develop audit programs and assist in implementation of Internal Audit quality standards (IIA based)
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Knowledge of control frameworks and standards such as COSO, COBIT, ISO 27000 family
