At Philips, we believe that every innovation should make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Join Philips as a System Test Designer – Verification Leader for our Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems and play a pivotal role in driving innovation in our next-generation X-ray solutions. Bring your passion for quality and innovation to life and make a difference in the lives of patients across the globe.

As a System Test Designer – Verification Lead, you’ll lead the integration, verification, and release of complex system-level solutions that advance the standard of medical imaging technology worldwide. Your expertise will directly influence every stage of the product lifecycle — from concept through design, integration, manufacturing, and post-market — ensuring the delivery of reliable, compliant medical systems that clinicians trust.

Your role:

  • You will contribute to the Azurion platform — a state-of-the-art interventional system used worldwide for cardiac and vascular diagnosis and treatment — helping ensure our systems meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance. You own the right side of the V-model and lead verification activities across the full lifecycle, ensuring robust system integration and release outcomes.
  • You will lead a dedicated system test team, coordinating system test designers and engineers to efficiently achieve program milestones, typically across large-scale, cross-functional test programs (exceeding 20 man-years). As part of the core project team, you provide critical leadership and insight on product readiness, test results and release decisions.
  • This role enables you to collaborate with experts across software, hardware and systems engineering, while working to identify testability issues, improve integration and verification processes, and contribute to departmental strategic roadmap and capability growth. You will mentor and coach test engineers to elevate technical excellence and testing maturity.
  • From contributing to meaningful solutions that improve patient outcomes, to development tracks and learning opportunities, a career at Philips offers endless opportunities to explore, grow, and lead. Be sure to speak to your recruiter about benefits in your region.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have 10+ years of experience leading verification and testing programs in complex, regulated environments, with proven leadership of system-level development projects.
  • You bring strong project management, people leadership and analytical capabilities, with deep understanding of test processes, strategies, risk-based test design and regulatory requirements.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical domain (e.g. IT, Software, Computer Science, Mechatronics).
  • You demonstrate a strong quality and continuous improvement mindset, are proactive, able to work effectively across cultures and distributed teams, and familiar with FDA/ISO or similar high-regulation standards.
