Be part of progress: Join Our Facility Lay-out Department at ASML

Introduction to the job

Do you possess a keen eye for detail as well as a helicopter view but are you not afraid to make deep dives into detail? Are you an independent worker with a natural curiosity for organizational structures and how facilities operate? With Manufacturing Services, we are looking for a strong expert who can get our Facility Lay-out department to the next level. Due to the increase of production and the constant need to introduce new products in our factories, we need to expand our buildings or re-allocate services to other buildings. The Facility Lay-out Engineer reviews and challenges requirements for our infrastructure for Manufacturing Services and translates this into layout specifications towards Cooperate Real Estate (CRE). If you like to be THE owner of this challenge, then this might be your next job opportunity.

Role and responsibilities

You will be the technical expert to develop Facility Lay-out by reviewing and challenging high level infrastructure for Manufacturing Services and translating these requirements into layout requirements towards Cooperate Real Estate. You will need to master the complexity of expanding services and factories in a dynamic factory environment.

Manufacturing Services is responsible for several services such as Logistic Operations, Service Lab, and Manufacturing Academy. This means you support these Departments with the Facility Lay-out in order to deliver optimized Services in short lead-times and optimized costs to support the ASML Factories in ‘short time to market’ by:

  • Support Project Lead by scope definition and technical alignments
  • Project manager role from the customer MFS for new build and/or renovation projects to CRE
  • Participate and attend CRE Project team meetings

Education and experience

  • Master degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or Applied Physics is preferred and experience with or in Facility related area is a pre.
  • More than 5 years of experience in an Engineering, Production or Service environment with high tech products and complex production processes
  • Proven track record in relation to industrialization, serviceability or availability and specifically system reliability, diagnostics and recovery
  • Experience with analyzing (new) designs to define the critical areas with guidelines for required improvements
  • Experience as Project Manager or Project Lead set up new (re-)buildings
  • Working in multi-disciplinary teams
